About Us

Social Anti-Social Society (SASS) is a space made for the quiet creators, the thinkers, and the ones who find joy in slow, meaningful moments. Whether it’s painting, reading, yoga, or simply sitting with a cup of coffee, SASS is where you can come as you are — alone or with company — and feel at home.

The idea for SASS has lived with me since 2008. Back then, during a winter internship in Mammoth Lakes, CA, I discovered a little café that forever shaped what I wanted to create. It wasn’t their menu that stuck with me — though their homemade muffins and the very first soft cookie I ever tasted were unforgettable. What really moved me was the warmth: a community that came together over books exchanged each season, dogs napping at their owners’ feet, people knitting or typing away on laptops, all sharing one cozy space.

That memory has stayed with me ever since. With SASS, I want to bring a piece of that magic here — a place that feels like home, where creativity flows, where small gatherings spark big ideas, and where everyone (pets included) is welcome.

About The Space

From Bare Walls to Vibes

We got the keys back in March, but we were intentionally slow with the process. We wanted to do it our way — thoughtfully, at our own pace. Every piece of furniture was handpicked by the team. The floor color, the plants, even the toilet — all of it was chosen and decorated with care.

It wasn’t always straightforward. We needed the space to be flexible and multi-functional, yet we had limitations to work around. At times it was confusing, but the challenge made it all the more meaningful. Looking around now, we’re proud of how it came together — a space that reflects warmth, intention, and the kind of energy we hope you’ll feel the moment you walk in.
